Giorgio, ( DOF) stands for depth of field. It refers to the amount of focus before the subject and behind the subject which is in focus in the scene. This is usualy accomplished with the AV setting on the camera. I hope I haven't confused you. In your pic the foreground was super sharp, as well as the back. There is a web site I would like you to visit which explains it further. I will send it when I find the info.

I know what is the depth of field!... I didn't know the abbreviation! In Italian it would be PDC namely "profondità di campo!! Anyway, thank you for the explanation!! :wave:
